The “Shogawa Gorge Ginko-Kai” (Haiku Meeting) was held in Shogawa-cho, Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture. At this haiku gathering, we invited Kika Hotta, an active haiku poet, to join the local community for an enjoyable time of haiku creating.
The topic was “Cancer” and it was a valuable opportunity to think deeply about life through haiku. Participants put their feelings and experiences into their haiku, expressing how they are facing on cancer, courage to live, and hope. Many people from the community participated in the event. We plan to hold this event regularly in the future.
